I’d been nearly 100 pounds overweight for decades. A sudden nerve condition puzzled me . . . and doctors (including acupuncturists, Chinese medical professionals – everyone!)

So, being rendered ‘nearly useless’ and being forced to lay flat most of the day – I studied like a banchee. Over time, this led to my building my FOUR PILLARS planTM In my mid-sixties now, and no major health problems (despite being so overweight for so long), I decided it was time to grab the bull by the horns and prepare for the exciting decades ahead. In this site I’ll take you on my journey to change my diet and finding some yummy new foods along the way. How important it is to create your environment, plan & stage the foods you eat. I hope I don’t lose anyone here – but I’m averse to the word exercise (but MOVEMENT is essential).

I’ll dig deeply into this, as well as how I’ve seasoned all this change with mindfulness . . . being aware, being present, praying, reading, walking . . . an essential part to all of this. So have a look around – I’m as far from a tech genius as anyone could be, but I’ll figure out how to get this site to a place where you’ll want to come back often. You too will start getting comments like “what happened to you” … or to my sons: ‘is that your dad? . . . come along – I want you to amaze yourself as I’ve amazed myself . . . and oh boy does it feel good.

We’ve all got decades of stories . . . ups & downs . . . amazing people and memorable situations. I was told to add this to my blog because it’s a journal – a record, that my sons can read later. I’ve decided to write it because I think it will lead me to people that may have been where I was. I might even find someone who lives around the corner from me.
